GTA 6 File Size Reportedly 210 GB on PS5

GTA 6 is expected to take up a huge amount of storage space on consoles. According to PlayStation Game Size, the standard edition of Rockstar Games’ upcoming title will require around 210 GB of storage on PS5.

If this figure is accurate, players may need to free up space before installing the game. The file size for the Ultimate Edition has not been revealed, and the exact storage requirements for Xbox Series X|S are still unknown.

GTA 6 Preload Date Revealed

Players who purchase GTA 6 digitally will reportedly be able to preload the game starting November 12, 2026, one week before its scheduled release on November 19.

Preloading will give players time to download the large game before launch day, so they can start playing without waiting for the full download after release.

How Does GTA 6 Compare to Other Games?

At 210 GB, GTA 6 would be significantly larger than GTA 5, which requires around 100 GB on PS5 according to the figures cited in recent coverage. It would also be roughly twice the size of Red Dead Redemption 2, based on the comparison reported by GameSpot.

However, game sizes can change with updates, and the final installation requirements may differ between platforms and editions.

For now, the reported 210 GB size should be treated as unconfirmed until Rockstar Games or the relevant platform stores provide official details. Players planning to install GTA 6 on a standard console may want to check their available storage ahead of its November release.
